Gabriel Marrero, MD
Gabriel Marrero, M.D. was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He is triple Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Interventional Pain Medicine. Dr. Marrero completed his Bachelor in Science at the University of Massachusetts (UMass) and his medical degree at the University Of Puerto Rico School Of Medicine, where he was selected as a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He moved to New York City to complete an Internal Medicine Residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He then attended the University Of Miami School Of Medicine for his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency, where he served as the Chief Resident. Finally, he completed a fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine with the Anesthesiology Department Pain Medicine division at the world renowned Emory University where he served as an associate professor after graduation until he was recruited by Drs. Szeinfeld and Lenchig to joint them at Fort Lauderdale Pain Medicine.
Dr. Marrero has a special interest in musculoskeletal disorders and sports medicine, having previously played collegiate Water Polo for UMass and the Puerto Rico National Team. He is married to a physiatrist and is the proud father of two children.
